Key Facts
- Use cool or lukewarm water (hot water increases itching)
- Leave medicated shampoo on for 10-15 minutes contact time
- Towel dry after bathing (blow dryers increase itching)
- Dips are sponged on and left to dry without rinsing
- Wipes are useful for between toes and skin folds
- Stop and rinse if skin appears more irritated after application
- Wear gloves when applying steroid-containing products
