- Starts with itchy crusts on ear margins, progresses to face then entire body
- Contagious to other cats, dogs, rabbits, and humans by direct contact
- Skin scraping under microscope usually diagnostic
- Isoxazoline products (Bravecto, Revolution Plus) effective with single dose
- Selamectin (Revolution), moxidectin (Advantage Multi) also effective
- All cats in household may need treatment
