Key Facts

• Causes: infections (FIP, tick-borne), trauma, cataracts, tumors, immune-mediated
• Anterior uveitis: red eye, squinting, cloudiness, pupil changes
• Posterior uveitis: may only be found on eye exam unless blindness occurs
• Secondary glaucoma can develop
• Treatment: topical eye drops + systemic medications, often weeks to months
• Close monitoring with frequent eye pressure checks needed
• Prognosis depends on underlying cause and treatment response
